Slippin News

Sisters, Lindsay Sumner and Penny Anderson are the directors of this new company. They have both skied for many years and have developed an innovative product as a result of their personal experiences with ski boots!  Lindsay is a district nurse in North East Derbyshire and Penny is a Special Educational Needs Teacher in Leicester.

The inspiration for Slippin came from Lindsay's direct use of slide sheets in the nursing arena.  The silicon coated nylon is so slippery that Lindsay recognised the potential for another use for the fabric thus solving a problem encountered by skiers of all abilities and all ages.  Encouraged by Penny they embarked developing their new product.

Together they have invented, designed, patented, manufactured and marketed a product that makes skiing a more positive, enjoyable experience.

Penny and Lindsay launched their new product at the London Ski Show this October. We had lots of help from friends and family and the launch was very successful not only in terms of sales but also the interest from the skiing fraternity.
